Here at Unit One Studios, we pride ourselves in creating an atmosphere for all musicians that venture to our studio here in Colchester.

Staff will be there to welcome you on site, feel free to have a chat, they'd love to get to know you and what your plans are with your music. There is free tea and coffee available throughout your stay. We love to talk and meet new people, music is our passion and we want to share that with you all.

We have a vast array of musical gear and toys available to all bands and musicians who rehearse here at Unit One.
Drum kits, guitar amps and cabs, bass amps and microphones. No need to pay any extra to use any of the gear available, it all comes included with your rehearsal session.

Each room is equipped with a 5 piece Natal Cafe Racer drum kit, with hi hat stands and 3 crash/ride cymbal stands. Orange CR120 heads and Orange 412 cabs, Orange CR60 Combo amps, along with a variety of Ashdow bass amp heads and cabs.
​
The rooms also come with SE Electronics Microphones, Mackie mixing desks, Electro Voice PA speakers and Dynacord L1300 power amps.
​
Extra amps and cabs are available. These include gear from manufacturers such as Marshall, Peavey and Fender.

All of this at no extra cost to your rehearsal room rate!
PRICING
Rehearsals can run for however long you like and can be booked from as early or as late as you like. The studio doors are open for bookings 24 hours a day.
As long as your room is free for the time you book, it's yours for the whole duration of your time here at Unit One.

This includes use of all the gear in the rehearsal rooms and free tea and coffee.
​
All for £12 an hour.
Anything over 6 hours and you get the last hour free!

Drummers, if you have your own breakables (cymbals, snare drum, bass drum pedal, hi hat clutch) please bring them with you as this is preferred.
Although, we do have bass drum pedals and snare drums in the studio for you to use upon request if needed. Cymbals are also available to hire for your rehearsal at an additional charge of £5 and that applies to however long or short your booked rehearsal time is. The studio hire cymbals consist of hi hats, ride and two crash cymbals.
Unit One Studios is located in the Eastgates Industrial Estate, with quick and easy access to Colchester town and its amenities.
